Get a wheel, you’ll thank yourself later.
Also learn how to do vehicle setups rather than just using the default setup.

I heard that if you play Project Cars with a controller, you're fucked. I'll see whether that's true.

Thanks! I'll mess around with setups to see how it works.

There’s a few guides online that help explain what each change does, they’re especially beneficial for understanding Caster and Damping changes. Sadly I can’t find the one I’ve used in the past.
The best thing to do is drive a bunch with the car/track combo to get the layout down, then start making adjustments, and only make one adjustment at a time so you can keep track of what changes did what to the handling.

Was fucked and pretty brutally, my arse still hurts. Seriously though at launch, Project Cars was easily the worst racing game ever made. Now they have finally patched the Xbox One version it is a lot better, for starters you can actually play with a controller but my word is it dull. The cars feel so lifeless compared to Forza and there is shocking low amount of feedback.

I just started running the CTR-GT3 and jesus the controller is ass-raping my handling. I just came out on top of a practice session but not without cursing and menu screwings-about. A wheel it is, then!

Back before release I was running the Sauber C9 a lot, Silverstone Classic and Brands Hatch were sooo much fun in that car. It’s such a beast, especially if you crank the boost pressure up, spinning the wheels in 3rd gear going over 100mph? Easy.

Oh man, I’ve been caught out with that thing so many times. Such fun to drive, getting a sequence of corners right is so rewarding.
